聖セシリア(ラSancta Caecilia,英Saint Cecilia,仏sainte Cécile)の名前でもある。音楽家の守護聖人で、記念日は11月22日。
彼女への崇敬やあやかりによって女性名としてヨーロッパ各地に広く普及した。
